rwrylsin: Lego Lisa (Glasgow Rose)

Apparently when David was out at Bunnings for timber last week he sneakily took a long detour to Koko Black to get me one of their dark chocolate Easter Eggs. And then he surprises me again this afternoon by producing a tin of their hot chocolate flakes. He's so nice to me.

My household seems to be engaged in an Occupy-The-Rwrylsin campaign. If I'm not holding the Bub then one or other or the cats hurries over to take the spot. Occasionally David gets a quick hug in before one of the smaller family members intervenes.
I feel loved, but also... occupied. And covered with cat hair. Typing one handed now because Ella just noticed I had my hands free.

Meanwhile, not sure what changed but since the late evening feed last night Bub seems to have suddenly got the hang of breast feeding. Reliably attaching pretty much first attempt, both sides, no messing about, bottle top-up not wanted. I'm confused but happy. Hope it continues.

The really nice thing about the arrival of Easter, and passing Bub's official due date, now I will hopefully stop being so temporally confused by the fact of Bub being here but not Easter. I've spent the last couple of weeks being constantly surprised to find it wasn't mid-April yet.

And now it must be time to eat some chocolate and contemplate the cycle of life...

There's a real mental thing about the due date - once you've passed it it's like bub's "meant" to be here and everything falls into place in a weird kind of way.

And congratulations to him on getting the hang of feeding!
