Ok, this won't be the most exciting update ever, I'm mostly just trying to keep track of what we're doing.

I was home sick Thu & Fri. It was a weird thing with intermittent symptoms (although getting too carried away with doing active stuff was a good way to bring the symptoms back), so I still got some stuff done in a very ad hoc fashion.

- Bought material & curtain at Spotlight sale.
- Bought some paint sample pots
- picked up new rice cooker from post office
- Applied filler and primer to my main office window
- Painted sample colours onto large cards
- Made cover for one half of David's toybox. Other half yet to be done.
- Picked 2 dozen ripe kumquats. Decided to cut up for marmalade.
- Cleaned kitchen floor and applied vinyl protective polish
- Possum-proofed veggie seedlings.
- Fell over at intervals because I wasn't eating, then getting distracted and still not eating.

On the weekend we mostly caught up on little jobs:

- Spent quite a lot
- David bought wood for building final bookcase for library
- Obtained curtain rod and installed curtain in front room.
- Cleaned and test painted a couple of small walls in kitchen. More coats needed.
- Installed board to block hole in bathroom wall, applied gap-filler and sealant. Much warmer in there now.
- Sealed window frame behind kitchen sink.
- David finished the decking while I was fencing. Still needs steps and balustrade.
- Made marmalade - although it hasn't set yet so may be kumquat syrup. Stuff that spilled on the stove set fine.

We have carpenter around tomorrow to look at the balcony repair job. Need to evict possums who are feeling quite at home in the ceiling space.

The end of the kitchen work is more or less in sight. We even found a suitable dish draining rack on the weekend. We still need to find a way to get the decorated old tiles off the old plasterboard, but we have some idea where to put them once we have. Aside from that, I think it's just painting we need to do in there.
Sadly, don't think we'll get it done this month. David is working next weekend, and he has to at least do the final coat. Despite the best of intentions, I get bored easily, so my painting jobs are never very even and I have a significant blast radius.

Finishing the bathroom might happen. I can probably manage one window. Just need to get the mirror sorted out.

Meanwhile, today is being very Mondayish. I have already ranted to David, so the rest of you are spared the list of things making me cranky.
