Moved

We are now ensconced in our new home.

Truck arrived at 9am, not the 9:30 we were expecting, so like most of our moves we were off to a frantic start. celuran arrived and helped us ferry a seemingly never-ending supply of boxes out to the truck. Rain threatened at various points, but our moving remained dry.
Eventually the truck was full, and we were off. Thoughts of being all done in three hours looking very unlikely. Shortly after arrival and a quick internet check I enlisted the aid of my brother & sister-in-law. They arrived an hour or so later, but were most welcome as by this stage we were getting quite exhausted and my ankle was playing up. All up, it took about 5 hours. We look forward to not doing it again.

We returned to pick up remaining bits from the previous house - we probably have another 3 trips to make really. Started a little of the cleaning but were feeling far too tired. Dropped stuff off, made the bed, lay down for a bit, then a quick shopping trip and picking up pizza and garlic bread on the way home.

Now we have much unpacking to do... but the new house is feeling very homey despite being a large obstacle course of boxes.
