Zombie Rambling
Mar. 2nd, 2007 04:16 pmWork has been very busy this week, or at least busy enough to keep me fully occupied. Today I'm in late for some changes, which isn't as bad as it sounds since it was almost lunchtime before I got to work (and I even brought dinner with me this time). The arrive late/stay late Fridays here actually work well for me, I get to catch up on sleep before the weekend, and would otherwise just spend Friday night in a zombie-daze anyway.
That said, I seem to be in a zombie-daze state anyway. I think I've been fighting off a bug, my throat has felt a little odd/sore the last few mornings as well.
And while I'm complaining, I seem to have hurt my ankle. No idea how, but it was feeling a little wrong at fencing last night, I iced it when we got home to be safe but this morning it was quite painful. Deep Heat and rest seem to be taking care of it so hopefully it won't be a problem for long.
In happier news it looks like the NAB pension fund has finally acted on my request for a transfer. The JP fund has just sent me a bunch of stuff and a note saying effectively 'send this to the NAB folk, we aren't allowed to talk to them but they need to fill these in'. Rolling Super funds in Aus was a lot simpler.
Back to whinging; we are NTL-now-Virgin customers, and so have lost our Sky One channel. (If you're not in the UK, Sky and Virgin are having a little spat. I don't know about Sky but the messages we get from Virgin... well, I guess they've never really marketed themselves as mature and professional so it's probably normal).
So my dilemma of earlier posts is solved, no more Battlestar Galactica or Dresden Files to remember to tape. We don't actually get a choice in who we buy our TV/phone/internet from so it's a pirates life for us. (Arrr)
