Boss+2 (soon to be Boss+1 as the structure flattens a little) has given everyone on the team a free day off work to recover from the last few months. (Not all at once of course, I've been allocated next Friday - which in theory will let me be nicely caught up on sleep for the Edinburgh International fencing comp).
On top of that, she's approved me going on a couple of IBM courses. I suggested them in a fit of optimism - our department training budget can only cover a handful of such courses a year and since I had two last year I could hardly expect to drain the budget again. But apparently nobody else bothered to request anything, so there I go.
At the moment one of the courses (Websphere scripting and automation) is only scheduled for times when I'm on holiday, but hopefully they'll schedule another before the end of our corporate fiscal year. The other is transitioning to Websphere 6, at the risk of creating a whole lot of migration work for myself.
