Grrr. We finally got a response from Pack'n'Send about our missing DVDs etc. (Apparently they don't read e-mail they're not expecting (great way to run a business!) so David had to call them, tell them to expect his mail, then resend the email.)
Seems that while we can try to claim back something for the missing items, a $250 excess makes that fairly pointless. So somewhere out there is a happy thief who has scored a bunch of DVDs, that makes me mad. P'n'S's reply was firmly focused on the idea that they may have been opened for customs checks and there's nothing they can do about that. My own firm suspicion is that someone at P'n'S knows how much they can get away with pinching during the content inspection. Can't trust anyone. All I can say is "Ha! Mulan is pirated so nyeh!" (copied for backup from a legitimate VHS copy actually - looks like I needed a backup for the backup...), and "Don't use the Pack'n'Send Hawthorn branch unless you have time to be present while they inspect and seal your boxes."
